3D printers were front and centre on the Cadventure stand at Southern Manufacturing 2017 The company offers a range of 3D printers to fulfil a variety of needs from conceptual models, form and fit to final pre-production quality.
It also offers a full bureau service. Its team of 3D professionals can produce a 3D model from supplied files, or create an item from scratch. It also has an online 3D consumables store.
The latest 3D printer-enabled modelling software is supplied and supported, including ANSYS SpaceClaim – a new generation of software that offers an intuitive interface and ability to work with 3D geometry to enable you to sketch in 3D software and then mutate without conventional constraints. It can be used to create, edit and repair 3D content, or users can reverse engineer scan data using the software tools. Also showcased was LimitState:FORM software that uses SpaceClaim as its CAD platform. This software generates high fidelity, optimised forms directly and unlocks the potential of additive manufacturing – a step forward for designers using traditional manufacturing methods.
