Modular lift eliminates pipes and hoses

Roemheld preview edit_tmb The highlight of the Roemheld stand at Southern Manufacturing 2014 will be the Modulog assembly table and lifting column. It is modular and incorporates a rotary unit with integral lead screw, which is patent pending. Air, oil and power signals are all routed through the element, making external pipework or hoses superfluous. This results in a reduction in set-up times, particularly for the manual assembly of prototypes and pre-production series but also in fixture construction, where different components are involved. The system simplifies assembly operations and can be adjusted to varying heights and to suit individual operators.

Visitors can also see the latest products in the Hilma five-axis vice range and the Stark Easy Click fast-closing, zero point mounting system, suitable for assembly, aerospace and automotive applications.

Contactless position sensing for tough conditions from Active Sensors

active_tmb Active Sensors will be showcasing its latest Magni-Tec® contactless position sensors at Southern Manufacturing 2013.

Magni-Tec® offers a range of versatile linear and rotary position sensors, which are compact, lightweight, robust and waterproof! They are used in the harshest environments including areas of high vibration and fluid contamination.

Magni-Tec® sensors incorporate proven magnetic measurement technology. There is no electrical contact between the two sensing elements, which are a sealed sensing circuit and an activating shaft. These pioneering Magni-tec® sensors provide precise linear and rotary measurements coupled with high reliability and long operational life.

“We are proud to be at Southern Manufacturing in 2013 showcasing the latest Magni-Tec® position sensor technology”, commented Alex Gibson, Active Sensors Sales Manager.

Active Sensors will be delighted to demonstrate its Magni-Tec products or discuss any position sensor requirements on its stand T37 at Southern Manufacturing. Alternatively, visit http://www.magni-tec.com/ for more information.
